First and foremost, I would like to welcome you to our School of Engineering and Technology (SET) webpage. The School of Engineering and Technology was established on 1 April 2013. It is one of the pioneer schools established together with the establishment of UCTS. SET is also the biggest school within UCTS.
The school currently has both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Currently, the undergraduate programmes offered are Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering and Food Technology. More programmes will be offered in due course as UCTS is vastly expanding.
The school’s postgraduate programmes offered are Master in Engineering (by research) and PhD in Engineering. These two new research programmes are among the first postgraduates’ courses offered in UCTS.
The campus infrastructure including the facilities for the school is rapidly taking place. Currently, the school has five buildings properly equipped with modern teaching and learning facilities. We welcome all visitors to visit our school and UCTS in general.
The school welcomes linkage with the community and industry. This includes community activities, research collaboration and consultancy. Staff of SET have wide variety of experiences in their own respective fields. Any collaboration is welcomed and please do not hesitate to contact any one of them.
UCTS is set to cater for human capital for industries in Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE). In addition, UCTS is also set to offer opportunities in higher education, especially in the central region. The conducive learning environment with advanced facilities is set within UCTS. UCTS is also a Green Building Index (GBI) platinum rated which further enhance the learning environment. The teaching and learning in UCTS also incorporate skills with technical knowledge.
