Research Summary: A PLC based robot to enable physiotherapy. Physiotherapy normally requires a doctor, physiotherapy or at least a nurse. All these are one-to-one with a patient and therefore expensive. If this process is automated, poorer people can afford to do physiotherapy. Talked to a doctor and he gave feedback that the legs we need to move are sick legs not healthy ones and if they are moved beyond the human ability to take the pain, the leg could be damaged. So, we are going to place a push button with the patient. If the patient pushes it a whole other sequence of leg movement will be activated with software.
